Live performance during
Paradise and Dislocation
4th International Festival of Action Art and Interventions
February 25, 2014
Montaña Isabel de Torres
Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic
The artist sits in the sun with a white smock, apron, and three magical objects: a gray stone from Massachusetts, a black stone from upstate New York, and a piece of sea glass from the Dominican Republic. He rubs the smock and apron in his hair, wears them, and enters the white linen space. He invites others to join him. The artist removes one of the objects from the apron and rubs it in his hair before presenting it to a participant. The participant may do what he or she wishes with the object.
